Born and raised in Rockport, TX, it was almost an unwritten rule by my grandfather that I would have a fishing rod in my hands by the time I could walk and talk. So it made sense that a short time later my first job would be as a deckhand aboard his charter fishing boat the summer I turned twelve. The love and respect I gained for the water as a kid grew through the years. Still, it would take over thirty years for me to ultimately realize how this place moves me and return to Rockport to live full time and pursue a passion that began so many years ago.

OUR BOATS
At Brown Water Charters, LLC, we offer a variety of boats to fit your fly fishing needs. Whether you're looking for a traditional fishing experience on our 18ft skiff or a more adventurous trip on our 21ft t-top boat, we've got you covered. For those who want to explore shallow areas that are hard to reach, we also have an airboat available for fishing as well as touring. Whatever your preference, we have the perfect boat for your fly fishing trip.
Rates
Half day and full day fishing trips
(fly, bait or light tackle).
Half day Fishing trip is $500
Full day Fishing trip is $700
Airboat tours is $300
(usually about 2 to 3 hours)
We can only accommodate up to 2 people right now but the target client for fly fishing is usually one person at a time because I cater to those who may not have as much experience, the day will be not only fishing, but casting a lesson, and how to sight and stalk fish. All the fuel, rods, drinks, and snacks are included, clients usually bring their own wading boots, protective clothing, and other misc items.
